The zipline at San Vigilio di Marebbe
three kilometres of steel cable above the Val Badia, up to 80 km/h and a hundred metres off the ground
You start in the village, on Str. Catarina Lanz, and you end up hanging from a steel cable above the Val Badia. In between there is a form to sign, a jeep transfer and a briefing that lasts longer than the flight. The descent itself is ten or fifteen minutes over seven lines, and the pulley brakes by itself: there is nothing to do but look around, which is rather the point.
Getting there
- From the Ritterkeller motorhome area to the check-in it is a walk through village streets, with no climbs
- The check-in is in the village, the start is not: staff drive you up to it by jeep
- You land at the bottom station of the Cianross gondola, not where you set off
